Rushaine, Emanuele and Bill: Collab 002
September 20, 2021 at 1:59 pm #1317This is an Ambient House track: Rushaine came up with the House theme and chord progression.
Emanuele made the lead and backing synths,
Bill worked on the arrangement.

September 20, 2021 at 5:12 pm #1319Collaboration between Brent, Yair and myself
September 20, 2021 at 5:32 pm #1320Made by Torry C, El G & Simple me:
September 20, 2021 at 5:53 pm #1321Very nice and chill (chill-hop?..is that a thing?) track! Like the pitch and effect on the sample, gives me a old 50’s (or 30’s..I’m not sure..) nightclub singer vibe. That bass also really works well with the beat. And the sound of the key parts is really cool. Nothing but good things to say, just a great well balanced track. Well done!
Edit: This was my feedback on Brent, Yair and Ian’s track. I used the ‘reply’ button on Ian’s post, but it does not seem to put their track with my text.

September 20, 2021 at 6:36 pm #1323Made a few tiny changes, because some things just bugged me when listening the final upload back :D. Do not see the edit button for my earlier track post so that is why I made a new one.

September 21, 2021 at 7:51 am #1325Really enjoying all the work here. Great to see so many different genres explored. Particularly enjoying the ambient house piece from Rushaine, Emanuele and Bill. Top notch!
September 21, 2021 at 9:27 am #1326Adding with piano intro! Tu, Nefertiti, Tom
September 21, 2021 at 3:29 pm #1328Thomas that track is wild and catchy. I really really like the chords and think this is probably my favorite so far. I would slap this in a playlist easily. William your groups track was very chill and i could easily get some work done with this in the background keeping my energy high yet focused.
September 21, 2021 at 3:54 pm #1329More feedback! Disclaimer: Putting this in because it was requested. Normally I would be hesitant to give (critical) feedback. And I might not even know what I’m talking about on some things either..
Also my listening set up might color how I perceive the mixing. With that out of the way..let’s go:Team Zenopus..(Bill, Rushaine, Emanuele)
How you used the vocal is really smooth and fits seamless with the track. Very nice!
And that high lead sound is also really nice and kind of meanders through the song giving it a dreamy relaxed feeling.
In the last part before the beat totally goes out I can hear a great chill broken beat style track (did I mention that I like everything with a breakbeat?) I think you could make the whole track in that way and it would be fantastic.
Really like that bass effect at 1:16 going in to the breakdown.
Only that wublike bass coming in in that breakdown feels a little bit out of place to me.Another thing is that I personally would experiment with making the drums a bit more laid back, now it feels like they are taken from a more high energy track and merged with the nice chill laid back sounds. Especially in the part after about 2:22, the track kicks up a notch..and crosses over in to a different style of house imho. It then also calms back down immediately after. It’s cool to have the switch up in to higher gear, but as a track it might have been stronger without.
Or just make it into that chill breakbeat version 😉On the other hand, you could have just invented a new genre 🙂
Ow and really cool that you made a custom cover picture with all your names and alliases on there!
Team Nefertiti (with Tu and Thomas)
Bringing the festival trap with a touch of bro step 😀This is not a genre I know much about. But what I’m hearing sounds really cool. Great sounds used for
that big stage confetti blast moment. Have you decided yet who gets to jump on the trampoline? 😉Love the drum fill in the ‘bro’ step section near the end. And the high string sound, I am
wondering if that is made from the vocal, because we made a Pigments patch from it that sounds pretty
similar. The bass sound coming in around 2 minute mark does sound a little loud on my system and is pushing
the rest away. It then also fades out a little suddenly.Great work!
Added for the piano version: piano in the intro is quite loud. The song is a lot louder then the other version.
Feel there is more emphasis on the high mids(?) maybe in this version, they are relatively louder. And that nice warm humming bass is pressed way in to the background.I liked that bass..I miss that bass :'( Why Thomas why :'(
😉
Some extra notes on a second listen for Team Old Sober (Brent, Yair, Ian),
-Some reverb could be nice on those first lead keys (but is a taste thing)
-Is that an electrical bass being played?
-The chipmunk vocal bits made me laugh.
-Maybe the drums hit a little to hard when you hear them solo near the end? Are they really compressed? I don’t know if that is it but for me having them be a little bit more relaxed would be more comfortable to listen to. Could also be my ears are just fatigued after a long day sitting behind a computer with a headset on :SAny way, again, great work everybody!
